Muscle loss related to aging is a condition called sarcopenia, and can lead to falling, weakness and overall frailty. The loss of muscle, strength and balance can make even everyday tasks more and more challenging. You might have difficulty walking, climbing the stairs, or even carrying your own grocery bags without assistance. Muscle loss can even making getting out of chairs difficult.

Researchers are working hard to find better treatments for age-related muscle loss to help regain muscle strength no matter your age.

If you are at least 70 years old and have lost strength or mobility, explore your research options. Clinical research studies are enrolling now. These strength and balance studies may also include a study-related exercise and nutrition program.

But don’t delay — space is limited!
